Civilian employees play an essential role in keeping the Air Force’s edge as sharp as it can be. They lend their expertise, know-how, and technical skills to maintain and enhance the quality of life of Air Force personnel and their families, as well as provide direct support to the Air Force’s important mission by providing logistical support, engineering, program management, and other highly specialized skills.
During Air Force Civilian Service’s special access recruitment event, we’ll interview skilled civilian professionals like you for many mission-critical openings across numerous career fields within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) supporting the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office. Qualified applicants will be contacted for in-person interviews to be held in Arlington, VA in February 2025.
AFLCMC, an integral part of Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), is responsible for the development, acquisition, testing, deployment, and sustainment of all Air Force aircraft and weapons systems, including manned and unmanned aircraft, missiles, and space systems. It relies on a highly skilled and dedicated workforce, both civilian and active duty, to provide logistics, maintenance, and engineering support to the Air Force’s major command organizations.
The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO) leads the life-cycle program management of the world’s most critical warfighting system… the F-35. The mandate of the JPO is the delivery of a capable, affordable, and available air system to the warfighter – outpacing key competitors to win tomorrow’s high-end fight as we develop, deliver, and sustain war-winning fifth-generation capabilities at high-end fourth-generation costs. The F-35 enables the United States, our international partners and our foreign military sales customers to persist and succeed in the most challenging combat environments against the world's most capable adversaries.
With dozens of rewarding career fields, from contract administration to science and engineering and intelligence professionals, chances are there’s an opportunity ideally suited for what drives you.
Walk-in applicants will not be permitted for this special access recruitment event. Qualified candidates who register with their resumes on or before Monday, February 3, and are selected for an in-person meeting will be contacted by hiring managers with the time and location of the interview.
